Fill and DigiSigner Comparison

Fill vs. DigiSigner

User Interface

DigiSigner offers a simple yet functional user interface where you can upload and sign documents using a typed, handwritten, or uploaded signature. You can also create templates with different fields to guide signers on the details they need to provide to approve a document.

As an alternative to DigiSigner, Fill offers a modern and intuitive interface for creating and viewing the status of your documents and agreements. Color-coded icons show you at a glance which documents are pending, late, or approved. It’s also easy to insert custom fields to documents and assign signing orders before sending them out for signatures.

Security

DigiSigner stores your documents securely behind a firewall and protects all communications using SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. It also uses AES-256-bit encryption and provides a digital audit trail complete with unique document IDs and timestamps. The app also authenticates every document request against the user’s session.

As a DigiSigner alternative, Fill provides military-grade encryption that meets the highest security standards. This includes using data centers with ISO 27001 and FISMA certifications to handle the app’s data storage infrastructure. It also offers comprehensive audit trails so you can quickly monitor the status of your documents and check for any suspicious activities.

Integration Capabilities

Fill works with major business tools like Google Workspace, Gmail, Google Drive, and Dropbox. You can also use it with thousands of business apps such as Salesforce, Zoom, OneDrive, and more through the Zapier integration. For custom integrations with an enterprise or proprietary system, you can access the developer API library available with a Pro plan.

As a Fill alternative, DigiSigner offers API access for $0.50 per document. You need a Pro or Team account to get this access. DigiSigner also mentions that it can integrate with your favorite business tools but doesn’t mention what those are on its website.

Template Creation

Fill lets you turn frequently used documents into reusable templates for easier access to future agreements. If you’re creating a new agreement, you can rely on Fill’s extensive template library with hundreds of professionally crafted documents for any industry and situation. You can customize these templates with your logo and brand colors.

You can also create templates on DigiSigner, but the app doesn’t provide a template gallery that you can use for inspiration. However, like Fill, you can customize your templates with your brand logo.

Progress Tracking

Fill helps you track the progress of your documents with real-time notifications and a central dashboard where stakeholders can see the status of each agreement. Once a document’s signed by all parties involved, you’ll get a certificate of completion.

DigiSigner has a portion in its interface where you see which documents are waiting for your signature or waiting for others to sign it. When you send a document for signature and it’s completely signed, it will receive a green checkmark and you’ll get an email of the completed document.

Signer Authentication

Fill uses KYC (know-your-customer) and AML (anti-money laundering) requirements to verify the identity of its signers. You can rely on cutting-edge facial recognition technology to validate a signatory’s identity without any lengthy paperwork.

DigiSigner lets you verify the digital signature in your PDF document with the help of Adobe Acrobat Reader’s Signature Panel. This will show a verification which guarantees the signer’s identity.

Compliance

Fill gives you peace of mind from encountering legal penalties and fines due to non-compliance with international and federal regulations. You are assured that your documents are legally binding and compliant with the E-Sign Act, GDPR, UETA, GLBA, and HIPAA. You can also get a signed BAA (business associate agreement) as a testament to Fill’s commitment to abide by data privacy and security laws.

As an alternative to Fill, DigiSigner also promises compliance with all major eSignature laws such as E-Sign, UETA, and European eIDAS. It also states that it supports HIPAA compliance by using tamper-proof, court-admissible audit trails, and AES 256-bit encryption. However, there’s no mention that they’ll sign a BAA, a major HIPAA requirement.

Pricing

DigiSigner costs $12 monthly for the Pro plan and $40 monthly for the Team plan. The Pro plan only includes one sender while the Team plan allows up to five senders. Both offer unlimited documents, multiple signers, templates, and custom branding.

Fill costs $8.33 monthly for the Basic Plan, $16.66 monthly for the Plus plan, and $24.99 monthly for the Pro plan. Depending on the plan, each plan comes with unlimited signature requests and different advanced features such as templates, workflow automation, real-time audit logs, etc..

Fill and DigiSigner both offer a free plan. However, DigiSigner’s free tier only allows three documents per month for signature, while Fill offers unlimited signature requests.
