Filestack lets you store all file types and sizes. You can upload images, documents, audio, and videos of various file types and sizes. You can also store your documents directly in your S3 storage without passing through Filestack’s infrastructure, enabling maximum privacy and speed. You have 350 GB of Filestack storage which you can extend through an AWS S3 integration.
As an alternative to Filestack, Uploadcare enables uploads directly to your Uploadcare storage or AWS S3 storage. If you’re using Uploadcare’s storage, you can opt to automatically backup your files to your S3 storage. You can enjoy up to 125 GB max storage or customize your storage needs for $0.03 per GB.
By default, the Uploadcare setup already follows the latest security practices. However, additional security features are also available to help you increase security on sensitive documents. You can limit uploading capabilities to authorized users through a limited-time token and check all incoming files for malware. You can also detect any compromised uploads including those that are offensive and inappropriate.
As an alternative to Uploadcare, Filestack has several security policies in place designed to protect your documents from unauthorized modifications. These policies include signed URLs, OAuth 2.0 authentication, and policy documents.
Uploadcare uses signed uploads to let you control who can upload files to an Uploadcare project. Signed uploads contain a signature string that includes several API keys like a generation key and an expiration time. You create this on the backend and share it with your users.
By default, Filestack only controls access for modifying existing files and account settings. Uploading and delivering files don’t require authenticated access by default. Users only need the API to upload files. To protect against unauthorized uploads, you can create security policies that require authorization and authentication pairs when uploading files.
